- our wood wicks come with an approved FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) label which means it is sourced from forests that satisfy ten main principles of strict management to environmental, social and economic standards and 70 criteria across employee and indigenous people's rights, community relations, environmental impacts, conservation and many more!
- our supplier provides traceability of sourcing. Due to the FSC certification we can be confident in the source of the wick
- cotton wicks are often pre-dipped in paraffin (petroleum) wax to provide stability and additional fuel for the burning as it soaks into the wick. Paraffin wax is made as a by-product of petroleum from crude oil meaning it is made from fossil fuels
- from our testing the scent performance of a wood wick is superior to cotton wicks
